Yesterday as we were getting ready for the day, Ivy followed me into the bathroom. Have I mentioned that she talks about everything that is happening, even the smallest tidbits? So when I reached for my maxi pad (sniff sniff) she asked what it was. I said "You tell me!" She said, "your D". (short for diaper) "Yup" I said, because that is what we call them in our household because really, who are we kidding. "Why do you wear a diaper?" she asked. "Because I have my..." "Perion!" she says. "Yup, ladies get their perions because it is a part of how they make babies"... too much? It seems to satisfy her. And from now on you might just want to call it a perion because it is really cute, right?
I don't need your condolences because I am so frustrated with the whole situation that we are taking a break and trying to be happy with what we have instead of continually wanting more! Maybe easier said than done, but we will try.
We got our tree last night. It was so magical... it was pouring and we drove to the Home Depot. Although, Ivy actually thought it was magical, they had a little reindeer merry-go-round display. She said repeatedly, "I love this place!" We decorated it after she went to bed and she loved to be surprised by it this morning.
I am hosting playgroup this afternoon because I really needed to clean my house and I just CAN"T do it without motivation. The living room and dining room are done but I can't bring myself to tackle the kitchen. I want to shove everything off the counter into a big garbage bag. If only I hadn't misplaced my Faberge Egg and think it to be in said pile, I would!
