best day ever

Today is, without a doubt, the best day ever. As you may have read on my mom's or my sister's blog, I tend to say that a lot. How lucky am I that I have so many best days? Today I am taking a quick moment out of the fun to write about said best day. Scott and I snuggled in bed with the dog and cat. Ivy slept until 8:20. Ivy is wearing cloth diapers which I feel really good about and they are working really well, they contained her night-time poop, hooray! Scott is staying home to do work around the house instead of going to work on the condo because his brother isn't working today. We both have the sniffles so we had a midmorning snack of Matzo Ball soup with some chard hidden inside, and while we ate and Ivy played in her swing (she actually notices and touches the little toys attached to it now) we played a little game of scrabble, my new favorite pastime. In the mean time, there was laundry to be done, Ivy went down for a nap, phone calls were made and now it is time for lunch. Scott is making sandwiches and I just finished setting up the scrabble board for a rematch. I have yet to win a game of scrabble against Scott so I need all the opportunity I can get to practice. The slip covers are washed and dried and ready to go on the couches once I vacuum the errant pet hair from their crevices. And it isn't even one o'clock in the afternoon!
